We're glad to hear that your pretty happy with your # 329-GB40 jump start pack. NOCO doesn't offer a narrower clip, but just about any auto parts store should have a couple of different styles of adapters for side post batteries. The way the positive and ground cables attach to the batteries wouldn't change, but you'd have auxiliary posts to attach the clips for the jump box or jumper cables. I've used them before on several work trucks I used to use, and they work perfectly. view full answer...
I wouldn't recommend using a jumper box for long term use as you may over heat it but there are quite a few people who have used them with winches like the Dutton Lainson StrongArm # TW4015 and it worked well. view full answer...
For a great charger for your Chevy Colorado or your John Deere utility tractor, I recommend the NOCO Boost X Jump Starter - LED Work Light - 2 USB Ports - 12V # NOC78VR (2,500 amp). The great thing about the # NOC78VR is that they charge super fast (only 2 hours). In addition, both of this jump starter is super small so you have the ability to transport them anywhere you need without the extra hassle. As an added bonus, the # NOC78VR comes with DC charging cables as well. view full answer...
The Peak Performance Jump Starter doesn't have an adapter made for it to convert it to 110 volt. It has a fold out 110 volt style connector at the rear that you'd use an extension cable to plug into an outlet for charging. But on the output side there isn't anything that would allow it to charge anything 110 volt. view full answer...
Occasionally like any battery that's been re-charged consistently over the years it will start to loose some of it's ability to hold a charge; it's possible that your old Duralast 900 just ran out of life. It might be worth considering replacing it with a new one like the Duracell Portable Emergency Jump Starter with Tire Inflator - 12V - 900 Amp # DU37FR which comes with all of the same features as your old Duralast 900 plus a tire inflator. It's a handy little tool with a variety of uses... view full answer...
Yes, the NOCO Boost Plus Jump Starter # 329-GB40 won't have any problem jump starting your truck's 1,200 cold cranking amp battery.
You can permanently attach eyelet cables to the battery terminals using the part # 329-GBC009, but I recommend leaving the charger itself unplugged from the harness when it's not in use. This just ensures that it isn't accidentally powered on or utilized. The unit is small enough too that you should be able to simply store it in the glove box or similar storage... view full answer...
For your application I recommend using the Jumper Cables with Gray Quick Connect # 3375601025. This comes with a connector and wiring that you install on your vehicle and then you'll just have to make sure the gray plug is accessible. Then if your battery dies again you just connect the other wire to the gray plug and the to the other vehicle battery to provide some power to your vehicle.
Unfortunately you can't use the 7-Way plug at the back of your vehicle to charge the battery as that... view full answer...
Trailer camera systems like the Furrion Vision S part # FCE48TASL-05 do draw power from the running light circuit like you mentioned so yes this circuit would need to be activated. I don't have a way to know if running a jumper cable to this circuit on your trailer wiring would cause any issues but a diode like the part # RM-690 would ensure this does not happen and installs really easily so it would be what I would recommend. view full answer...
